This is a new CIPD Special Interest Group started in September for people interested in Coaching.
Led by CIPD member and ICF Certified Coach, Sheela Hobden aims to create a thriving community of HR professionals who are either Independent or Internal Coaches, and those who Coach as part of their role, to share best practice. The intention is to explore developmental opportunities and build strong relationships with each other through a peer to peer group spanning a broad range of topics.
We will look towards the sharing of knowledge and experience in all aspects of Coaching in a safe and confidential environment. Topics will likely be themes requested by members or emerging “news” coming from other professional bodies in Coaching, such as the ICF.
It will be for CIPD members only. With a hybrid of face to face and online, meetings will take place monthly on the second Thursday of each month at 09:30hrs.

Sheela Hobden is a Coach at bluegreen Coaching. Following her own mental health battles, she now coaches individuals, runs training sessions and speaks at conferences. She has a real passion for helping medics and healthcare professionals take as much care of themselves as they do their patients! She is also a Mentor Coach and Coach Supervisor. She has a PGCERT in Business and Personal Coaching, holds PCC member status with the ICF and is CIPD qualified. She challenges herself with ultra distance running and Ironman. The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is a data controller, registered with the Information Commissions Office as required under GDPR. However, when entering in an event that is advertised on the Eventbrite website you will be consenting to your information being passed to the Event Organiser for them to use for the purposes of organising and running the event. CIPD may also wish to process your personal information in connection with a variety of activities which may include the marketing and promotion of our services and the administration of files and records.
